That is the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage month. I think that is why they were invited. Every year the White House hosts a bunch of Hispanics. I am not sure if they just entertain. I think it is to honor them and their heritage. Jaci Velasquez was there a few years ago. 68 views and only 4 replys-2 being mine. Gee, you'd think people would get a little more exited about the guys playing at the White House in front of the President of the United States. Seems like everyone's more interested in favorite food and tv shows.

I think its awsome that the guys are going to be there!!!!! I hope everone ther enjoys them as much as we enjoy them. Thats really cool that there doing that for National Hispanic hertiage month. They also do something similar for black history month. They don't do that for the Native American Indians in North america. There is actually a American Indian Hertiage month, its November, Bush only reconized it as American indain month last year. But its been established for a while. You would be surprised how many people don't know about it, you might not even know about it. When I was in school we would celebrate black history month and Hispanic history month but not American Indian month. That made me angry. It also made a lot of other natives angry, so bush finally decided to say something about it, because in the last election the majority of American Indians voted for him, and so he wanted to keep that satis for his election that was coming up. I'm sorry I don't mean to go on and on about american indian issues. But if you all could pray that the American Indians get beter reconizion, Out of all of the diffrent races in the USA the American indians are the most ignored people in this country. Ashlea

On the American Indian issue, I'm really glad that President Bush mentioned the Heritage month; I think that perhaps Native Americans deserve the most cultural recognition of all since they were indeed the original inhabitants of America. But in any case, praise God that our Lord is Lord over red, yellow, black, and white~and we're all precious in His sight Blessings in Jesus ~BWP
I totally agree with you cinnomon it is a HUGE honor and Iam so thrilled and excited for "THE BAND".. its a blessing to see how God is opening and will continue to open doors for them!! Rock out for Jesus guys and hope we get to see somthing on TV or pictures!!
This is such an honor for the band. Let pray that they will be able to impact those who will be present - especially those in places of authority over the nation. The band may only be able to do so much but Holy Spirit can do AMAZING STUFF!!! Go guys! Go in the power of our Lord Jesus. Be filled with His Spirit and sing for Him! AMEN!
Amen, Gabrielle! The Holy Spirit is SOO AWESOME!!! His power is like None other! I would just love to see everyone at the White House--yes, especially the authorities of this country--get hit with a wave of the Holy Ghost!! I want to keep it in my mind to pray for them that the Lord would go in full power with them and anoint them to do HIs work. In addition, that whatever distractions and trials the enemy throws at them, those attacks will Not prosper. Praise the Lord, his is REALLY an opportunity for Salvador to lift Jesus' name on high !! God people, let's do this thing, and keep them in prayer!

Yes...Holy Spirit...what a state we would be in without Him in our lives??!! Praise God for such a good Friend and Helper yah! Oh I'm so excited for Salvador being at the White House. It's gonna be excellent! I wonder how they are feeling about this? They must be well excited eh?
