Nic - you need to take back every bad thing you ever said about white people - every insult, slam, joke that I've heard you say at your performances. In fact, the most recent performance I was at, your slam on white people was so uncalled for. It made me pretty upset. But take a look at who has left you. And now look who has stuck around... the white guy. And he has a family. So he's probably made many sacrifices to keep his commitment. And the other guys just walk away for whatever reason. But Chris is seeing it through. I've met him and he's an incredible person - good to the core. I'm not saying the others were bad, but you can't put us white people in a box. We come from so many different countries with different cultures, customs, languages, and totally different philosophies on life. Just because our skin is the same color, doesn't make us the same people. We're not all rich. We're not all born with a silver spoon in our mouth with mommies and daddies that spoil us rotten. And we're not all racist. I hope you see us now in a new light; with a little more respect.

First off, Nic is never going to read that. He doesn't come around here. I don't think anyone in the band even knows this place exist.
Two, where did you get all of that from?

After rereading your post, I'm pretty sure if he said anything about white people it was a joke.
If he was really racist Chris wouldn't still be in the band.
Whatever he said was either a joke or was a generalization that even Chris would agree with.

How old are you btw?

I suggest us (the white species) we form a comitte and go at every single Salvador concert with Banners protesting about this....

1.Hey it is not bad for a fan to let a band know how they feel. 2.Yes, maybe he is joking but some people don't like those types of Jokes. 3. I sent him what was said to his myspace, so hopefully he will read it!

I'm curious what was said that was offensive. I've never heard anything offensive-though one time Nic did say that us white people were hearing something that they never heard before-to which I thought ("I listen to latin music all the time-what is he talking about?") I did think it was a little smug of him to think that us white people (gringos-as he calls Chris) have never heard latin music before. I also thought it was kind of conceited-like he thought that they were all that. I just ignored it and enjoyed the music.

I guess I understand where Libertad is coming from, I really don't like it when people make spanish racial jokes, so why would I approve of a spanish person making white jokes, it's just not nice. When I saw him at the concert he made some jokes (can't remember them though) but I didn't realize til afterwards.
