Hi there everyone. After reading the interview with Nic on Christianity Today, two thoughts came to me: I undrestand that you feel disapointed with your Into Motion CD because of the production and such; however, everytime I listen to it, I do feel like worshiping God. I've been so inspired by your message and joy from God that is displayed in these songs, and I feel His spirit on them. Don't believe the lies of the product reveiwers! You were in God's will, and He is blessed by our worship from our hearts even if no one else is. And We were created to love Him. That is our purpose and you guys have encouraged me to do that. The second though I had was about how you said that you were feeling that if radio stations did not start to recognize the band, you guys would start to fade away. This seemed unfounded, because God has promised to give us the ability and prosper us in what He has called us to do. This ministry is ordained of God, and He will give you guys the resources, and glorify Himself through your lives as you look at Him alone. He has said not to look at the things that are seen, but at the things that are unseen, and His plans are so much bigger and higher than ours, and He will be glorified in your guy's lives and bless you abundantly as you look to Him alone and worship Him with all your hearts in the ministry He has given you! Thnks for reading this, and God Bless You All. Your appreciative fan, Gina

Wow, Gina. That was awesome! You sure hit it on the nose with that one! I love all of their CD's and as many critics as they have, it still doesn't do harm to the message that they envoke in others. I know that for me, the words are what make me wanna worship and I feel that their music has gotten better and better and better. Everytime I listen to their CD's I can hear the Lord telling me something new. Keep up the good work guys! God has truly blessed you all! Never forget that!

I think Into Motion was a great record too, and I don't think the rest of the guys that worked on it were disappointed with the way it turned out, so I am confused as why Nic would say he was disappointed. You would think that he would be proud of everything that he has done and everything he has had a chance to do. Not many people have the opportunity...as far as publicity, I think that comes down to their management, and their public relations area at the record label. I blame them for not pushing Salvador more, not the radio stations...

That's what I think too. This is my own opinion, but I think they hurt themselves by singing "Heaven". I know contrary to alot of fans think "are you kidding me?", but honestly
think about it, the only song they've had consistantly on the billboard was a song that wasn't even written by either them, their management or their producers. They'll be expected to follow up with something better, something that "Into Motion" was supposed to do also, but as we can see, according to Nic never played out to what it "should" have been.
Sometimes bands hit a plateau , and it's hard to get out of it. I've always felt that if Salvador is going to continue to sing and play
their needs to be some kind of consistancy. Their first 3 Cd's all sounded different, and it get's a little old when the same songs are re-released on different cd's, such as "montana" ; "montana live", "la palabra and la palabra live". At some point in time, each Cd is just about linked with the same songs. I like all of these songs, but it would sound much better if they would lay out something new and original.

WINDI G. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT?
WHERE IN THE INTERVIEW DID IT SAY THAT NIC WAS NOT PROUD OF EVERYTHING THAT HE HAS DONE AND EVERYTHING HE HAS HAD A CHANCE TO DO.
I TOTALLY MISSED THAT PART OF THE INTERVIEW.

You're obviously not fully reading the interview...
quote:
We had been singing those songs for years, but to be honest, Into Motion (their second CD) was a bit of a studio disaster because they were trying to make us into something we're not. A lot of people that bought our self-titled album were like, "What in the world is this?" Which is understandable, and we don't blame anybody for that.

I just find it contridicting to what Nic said in the CMCentral interview from 2002 which you can read here:
http://www.cmcentral.com/interviews/188.html

read one, and then read the other... they seem contridicting to me...

BIZ YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT READING WHAT I ASKED. i ASKED NOTHING ABOUT INTO MOTION I SIMPLY ASKED WHERE IN THE ARTICLE DID IT SAY THAT NIC WAS NOT GREATFUL FOR THE THINGS, THINGS BEING PLURAL THAT HE HAS DONE.

ANOTHER THING, WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN ARE YOU CRITIZING THE GUYS WHEN BEFORE YOU WERE DEFENDING THEM FOR EVERY LITTLE THING THEY DID! WHY THE CHANGE?

I think artists are their own toughest critics. I'm sure it's easy to pick your work apart time and time again and think of how you could have made it better, or what you should have done. Especially since Nic tends to be such a perfectionist, it's part of the growth process, I'd suspect.

ILUVSALVADOR - If you take off your caps lock you may get a better response to your questions. It seems like you're yelling because everything you type is in capital letters. Just a suggestion. Smile

What I have always found interesting is why the media only focuses on Nic? Isn't Salvador equal the "whole" band. For example, Josh (always refered to as Nic's cousin) has an awesome talent on the bass - and for that matter I have heard him referred to by many as their favorite band member. Then there is Robert Acuna who is an magnificent on the drums. These guys work hard and sacrifice just as much........

I have known the above 3 guys since teenage years, and let me tell you they are all awesome musicians, it is just sad that only one of them gets recognized. I have seen this trend in Christian bands - the whole band takes off, then plateaus, and slowly but surely the company "lets go" of some of the members until it is a one man show. Hope this is not what will happen with Salvador.

Also, I wonder about the persona that the articles show Nic as having - it is a real difference from what he displays....... Not sure.....
