Hi everyone. I just joined this message board. I decided I would join since I too enjoy (really love) Salvador's music. I heard about them probably a couple years ago through some friends, but didn't really start to get into their music until about a year and a half ago. I went to a concert of Jaci Velasquez, and Salvador was there. I fell in love with the music because their music isn't common in christian music. It's great to know that there are different varieties of christian music.
I just read the "Salvador is Keeping the Faith" article and I thought it was really interesting what Nic said. "I hope we can somehow build some bridges along with other people. If we come through town and there was, say, a Fred Hammond concert two nights before, I can almost guarantee you that no one from the Fred Hammond concert would come to ours and vice versa. And it's like, 'What is that?'" I totally agree with what he said. I think that it is good if people could be open minded to the different styles of music. All the different styles kind of tap into a certain emotion. Music is just a wonderful tool to reach to someone's heart or soul.
oh by the way, I would probably be one of the people that would go to both the Fred Hammond and Salvador concert. Just thought I would mention that (Nic, in case you read this. Don't forget Night of Joy, that was an event that you were wishing for, different artists with different styles "mix and match").
