The one Bible verse that really speaks to me the most is Psalm 73 v 25 & 26 Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And there is none upon earth I desire but Thee. My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. This verse speaks loads to me cos it carries the meaning of my name Gabrielle - God is my strength. I was encouraged by a spiritual dad of mine to seek God for a verse that will encourage me in times of difficulty. Initially I thought it was too "holy" an idea cos there are loads verses in the Bible...where do I start? But I sought God about this anyway...and truely there was one time I was so down, confused and lost and God put this verse in my heart and confirmed it by sending a sister in the church to give me the same verse at the same time. God is such a personal God! AMEN

I have many favorite verses, but if I have to choose, my favorite verses are from Romans 12. I have memorized the entire chapter- it is very special to me. It speaks of the importance of surrending my all to Christ (1 and 2), spiritual gifts, and how we ought to treat and love one another (including our enemies).

There are so many great bible verses, one of them is jeremiah29:11: "for I know the plans I have for you,"declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God has great plans for our lives, don't ever think that He means harm with that!! He loves you, He's your heavenly Father, He knows what's best for you!!! TRUST HIM!!! That's true - so many verses to choose from, but for me I'd say "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
The Holy Spirit enlightend my mind and eyes to see this verse while going thru a hard time. "All things" mean whether it's a good thing or bad thing - know that all will work out. We don't know how, when, from where, but it will. My friends I leave you with this - "Be still and know He IS God". Amen

My favorite verse is Romans 8:38-39. It explains that there is nothing on this earth or above the earth of below the earth that can seperate us from the love of God.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Another one of my favorite verses is from Psalm 71 v 14-16 (Contemporary English Version) "I will never give up hope or stop praising You. All day long I will tell the wonderful things You do to save Your people. But You have done much more than I could possibly know. I will praise You, Lord God for Your mighty deeds and Your power to save." The reason why these verses speak volumes to me is because there was a time in my life where I was very confused and almost gave up hope in myself although I knew that God would never leave me nor forsake me. But I just felt that I couldn't hold on any longer. Then as I hit the wall and cried out to God in pain and frustration, God answered me in His great mercy and grace. He lead me by His Spirit to these few verses and encouraged me. He breathed new hope into my spirit and I felt alive again! So everytime I feel disheartened or discouraged, I draw strength from His Words once again. I tell you, our God is a personal God. He wants nothing but the best for us. He's an amazing God. No one like Him! He's just amazing!
