Having sampled Salvador's discography, I must say that - musically anyway - I think their best disc by far is Con Poder. I love it's openly Latin style. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish (maybe it's time to learn).

It seems that Salvador's English recordings tend towards a more mainstream "Americanized-Latin" sound. That's okay ... still some nice tunes. But Con Poder is the album that (IMO) truly sets them apart.

I'd like to see a more overtly Latin-music-with-English-lyrics disc. I realize that this might be easier said than done. Language and style are often intertwined; and trying to put English lyrics to Latin music might prove awkward. At any rate, if they Salvador could pull such an album off, I think it would be fantastic and really give them unique place.
