i wanna know if ur parents are as strict as mine wit music. mine dont like da idea of me listening Hawk Nelson, they dont want me to like em cuz they dont think they are christians. and they also dont really like Toby Mac and any body else dats rock or rap unless thru out da whole song they here them singin about God and Jesus and stuff...

mine ant strict , but i try not to let them hear songs with swearing in it that i listen to , have you tried showing them teh lyrics on the net ? that might work because then you can gain their trust which lets them know you dont listen to crappy music :P lol if ya get ma drift

my parents arent that strict. they wouldnt like it if i listened to bad music but they said i had a choice to what i listen to and to tell you the truth i wouldn't have it any other way. i love listening to hawk nelson and all those groups. they are my life.

Hm..I agree with my mom on most music,there are some things that I like that she doesn't ,but she's never said 'I never wanna hear that again.'

my parents dont care what i listen to, they dont really know actually.. i wont listen any songs with swearing in it anyway, i think they know that.

The song I listen to,though some them may sound like they are singing about a girlfriend or boyfriend are actually singing about God. Take MercyMe's Son Long Self for example.I don;t know if the song mentions God's name or not but it's talking about dying to yourslef nature and going to God.

just yesterday my dad told me dat he also doesnt want me to listen to Stellar Kart either.
i asked him why, and he sed cuz he lives with his girlfriend. i told him dat on dat one website thing they have, it says dat he likes to hang out wit his wife. but he still wouldnt pay attention. dis is totally getting me mad now!!!!!

my parents know i don't listen to songs w/ cursin in it so they really don't care. altho they don't personally listen to ff5, hn, tfk, etc cuz it's too "rocky" 4 them

This may be so,but doing stuff behind your folks backs isn't right either.
Even though it may not seem fair in your eyes,they ARE your parents,they've been around longer,have more expericence than you do and are wiser than you.Listen to them.

My dad doesn't really care what i listen to, but my mom does. She doesnt let me listen to screamo.. (well some sceramo) but i do anyway..all the time And if they are crossover she wont let me buy the CD.. =(
