Muisje, that's a totally different thing.. she means pro-drugs songs... the song u mean (which is a great one btw) tries to tell that God also love drugs addicts, pimp, paedophiles, whores u name it ..

yeah i know, and she'll problably like that song (i think) but some parents wont let their chrildren listen to any songs with drugs, without first finding out if its pro drugs or not. i was wondering how her parents think about that..

They are strict about some music, they prefer Christian music. But all they don't want is me and my siblings listening too cuss words in music. Look, just show then proof, like a video interview. Or a written interview, I know they talk a lot about God in those.

But I mean I actually think Christian music is a lot more better than any other kind of music, so even though my parents don't care, I listen to it. A lot of non-christian music is okay and I like some of it, but half of it is full of stuff you really don't want to hear.

Christian music rox. It has stuff you WANT to hear.

i feel some secular music can open a lot of negative doors. not all secular music is bad but the message of the song is really (what i feel) what matters

then i found out a bout tobymac
i got one of his cds and all i did was listen to him. or id watch kj-52's revenge of the nerds music video over and over.... my mom came up to my room once and asked with a surprized look on her face, is that rap i hear!!??
it was funny...

For some reasons I absolutely can't stand rap. But tobymac is an exception, he was in DC talk.

i used to love toby...but i just don't like him that much anymore...maybe cuz like everyone on the (now no-existent) pillar boards and my bros were constantly dissing him, then i stopped listening to his music cuz, well, i guess cuz i had other stuff to listen to. i just started listening to him again. i haven't heard any of the stuff on portable sounds. but about my parents, they only let me listen to Christian music. i don't mind cuz i don't want to polute my mind with all that other bad stuff. my mom likes KJ-52 (i <3 KJ!!!!!!!!!!!) and Cross Movement and Grits and...she likes rap. so do my bros and me. me and one of my bros like rock too [Christian of course) but my mom doesn't like anything with screaming in it. we're not allowed to listen to like underoath, but we don't want to anyway. i luv disciple, but my mom doesn't but we're still allowed to listen to them. i'm not allowed to listen to skillet cuz i bought rebirthing off itunes and my mom was like "i don't think its right to compare getting saved to a baby dying before its born". i explained to her what the song was about and that wasn't it at all, but she didn't get it. my dad heard it in the car w/ me and my bro one day and we were telling him why our mom didn't like it and he thought she was wrong, so he said something about it to her later and she said "is that that song about the person dying in the womb?" that was all she got out of it and my bro who hates rock complained so much about how stupid it was that my mom just banned skillet. not cool :[

wow. that wuz really long. my mom like sk too.

Wow, Skillet is awesome. Maybe you could buy some of the softer songs..like "You are my hope" thats the best song ever. It has no screaming or anything, its a worship song, they sang it in my church. I mean at least you could listen to that.

Toby is awesome. I saw him in concert recently for my radios stations 25th year thingy. I got 21 videos LOL Well, I did have to delete half of them, but oh well. I love him, I got a shirt that says "Tobymac is my homeboy" (they were out of the rest, and this one barely fits me but idc) and on the back it says "Jesus is my savior".So true.
