yeah now that i think about it jas prolly only said he'd never wash his face again after the girl kissed him was most likely cuz he didn't want to make her feel awkward. I'm sure he and lenay had a good laugh about it...but the potion thing was kinda weird...i just got a creepy feeling when i watched that movie....i hope she was just making fun of witch craft and not condoning it....i don't know what's in her heart and it isn't my job to judge her, my point is simply to be careful about the stuff you expose yourself to. if you aren't spiritual mature enough you may buy into believing some stuff that goes against God. i don't know if lenay really meant it to be bad but the bible is very clear on this kinda stuff....in 2 Corinthians 11 the bible warns about false apostles....and in 1 Corinthians 8 paul is addressing the Corinthians about a problem in the church: buying meat that has been sacrificed to idols. now you may be think 'what is she talking about? false apostles, meat? wha..?' just bear with me. it is important to make sure the people you associate with or affiliate with, aren't going to cause you to stumble, it is very important to be able to discern what is God pleasing and what is a lie. if you don't and buy into the lie you can get into some serious trouble. in 1 corin. 8 the meat the people bought in the city of Corinth had to be taken to the temple, not Christian, pagan, to be "purified" before it could be eaten. the priests would take a piece of meat and burn it as an offering to the gods and this would supposedly purify it of all the evil spirits it was said to have. then the priests would get a portion to eat or sell in the market. the dispute among the Christians was whether or not it was okay to eat this meat that had been sacrificed to the gods. paul told them it was a bad example to the young Christians and pagans to buy this meat. not just because it was sacrificed to false gods, but because it set a bad Christian example...okay so it's like this, lets say you have a friend who has a drinking problem and just got out of rehab. well why should you not drink around him? you are a responsible drinker. besides, Jesus turned water into wine. it's not a bad drink. the reason you don't drink in front of your friend is because they have that drinking problem and if they see you drinking they may reason w/ themselves that it's ok. you see what I'm saying? lenay is in a position where she has to be very careful how she comes across. the potion thing may not be anything but harmless fun, TO HER. but what about a person like me? i used to be a Wiccan. that movie for me , condoned witch craft. she may not struggle with that but i do. and being a Christian she needs to acknowledge that and be more careful...her boyfriend is in hawk nelson...people know who they are...it wouldn't bother me so much if she was just somebody no one heard of, goofing off on youtube. but she is pretty much famous right next to mr. hawk nelson. now i know shes only human and she makes mistakes, I'm not saying she has to be perfect, I'm merely saying she needs to make an effort to be a good example of who Christ is. I'm not perfect at this either. i see it as a problem in my own life and I'm working on it, i just feel this conviction that as a sister in Christ i have to say something about this. as Christian brothers and sisters it's important for us to hold each other accountable. we all stumble, we all fall but with Gods help and support from our sibs in Him, we can get through this life. i don't have a problem with lenay,so to speak i just want you all to be careful with what and who you allow to influence your lives. any idea what hawk nelson are trying to say in their song "something on my mind"? this may sound silly but i just heard the song for the first time and I've been a fan since '06 at least! just never been able to afford any of their cd's...i'm on a tight budget...maybe for my b-day....

i was talking to jason on myspace and i asked him why hn's lyrics didn't specifically talk about God and this is what he responded....i thought it was such a good point that i decided to post it on here:
yeah our first 2 albums were directed towards non-Christian audiences...you know how jesus spoke to people in parables but with his disciples he spoke frankly...b/c they understood some stuff about God that the crowds didn't...jesus gave the crowds analogies they could relate to...as hn does w/ our music...Christians want more in depth stuff but you don't give a baby meat, if you know what i'm saying...the people we try to reach aren't spiritually strong enough to understand some of the stuff " Christian bands" put out....i don't like that label b/c it is a bit to vague....so if you know what i mean...we want to attract some of the non believers and hopefully introduce them to jesus....but what we are doing here is witnessing to the lost and the broken...we don't want to be some band that Christians can listen to and be "spiritual entertained" our purpose is to reach out to the hopeless and offer them the hope we've found in Christ...although we do sing about spiritual issues...you know, stuff that Christians like to hear in music....if our last 2 albums weren't "spiritual enough" i'd suggest checking out our new album "Hawk Nelson is My Friend" it's got a good deal more stuff on it for "already believers" and some of our other fun stuff too....i think you'll like it!
