Yo everybody!
One of my friends has a friend (stick with me!) who has a problem. She cuts herself, and is really upset and deppressed. I don't don't know her, but my friend is really sad. Help her to find Jesus. So any post from me and you'll see me call her Girl from now on. Please pray for Girl.

thats relly bad..... i have a friend who death grips herself.... i no, i no, not big deal right? WRONG!! she has long nails and squeeses so hard its like she's using a knife. she has scars all over her arms....... but on a bright sise..... ive been praying 4 herand she's getting a phsyciatrist......

I WILL PRAY HARD! With Jesus all thing are possible! Just remember that! God will change her!

I know what your going through. I have a friend who cuts himself and I've heard him say he wanted to kill himself. Today I saw him and he said wanted to die and cut himself cause he came to school around 3rd block which is lunch for us and some of his told him that they thought he was going to commite suicied and got him signed up to go see 2 more counselors and if he hadn't shown up when he did they were going to send the cops over to his place. He really ticked off by this and by his words and mood seemed to be more depressed. It's got me worried so I'm going to call him later and ask him how I help him out or be his friend. Also I'll probably call my church friends and see what they think and what kind of help they give me. Its been about 4yrs that I've known he's been like this and I feel I need to not just pray about but to do something about cause right now seeing counselors doesn't seem to be helping rather the reverse. My greatest fears with him is that I'll do nothing and he does commite suicide and if I try and help him I'll make the situation worse. I don't think this is his exact feelings but I get the feeling that he doesn't want people nagging him about his issuses, or something like that?

obviously your not alone. I'll be praying for Girl and ImaSKkindofgurl's friend as well.

Dude, tell his parents or another adult. Talk to him... odds are he might want to talk. Everyone wants to feel that they are loved. If you have a camera, record a convertation you and your friends would have if he did commit suicide. Give him a gift for no reason at all. GIVE HIM A BIBLE!!!!!!!!

*Sighs....* This stupid Emo trend is spreading like no virus ever seen before. It's sad....I know how your friend feels. My friend has a friend that is Emo/goth. Not a good combination, you see. I know the kid, and he's cool sometimes. OK, cool maybey 5% of the time. Other times he's either being rude to his mom, or being rude to everyone else around him. All we can do for people with this 'virus' is pray. Pray hard, and have faith that God will heal them.

Personally, I don't understand why people would want to cut themselves on purpose. There's just no common sense in that.

yeah i don't get it either...you're right...all we can do is pray. God works everything for good. don't loose hope!

The thing is his parents are divorced and he lives with his dad because his mom left his dad and moved to England with his sisters he's never really met. Also his dad work weird hours and from what I heard from him the relationship btw him and his dad goes from back and forth btw good and bad on a day to day basis, but I haven't ask or heard resently (so I think I will tomarrow).
As far as telling an other adult I don't know who cause he's already going to see the councilers at school and I think other places about this and it doesn't see to be working real well by his reaction to being signed up to see more councilers. And as far as telling other people I have like my small goup leader and my High School ministries director/leader. The option that gives me is to see if he wants to go and talk to one of them but I don't know how to ask him so he doesn't feel like I'm leading him to an other counciler who wants to pick his brain or convert him.
Giving him a bible is a goodidea but might just end our friendship cause I don't think I'm to that point yet where that would help. But I have introduced him to KJ-52's music cause he like rap/M&M. Unfortunaly I haven't followed up on that so any other suggestions?

HAWK NELSON. they have a great message in all their songs w/o it being all about GOd...and they have a song called zero and it's about what suicide does to ppl and what it does to the their friends...very good song...the singer, jason dunn, his friend died from suicide..that's where the song came from. (sniff sniff)

another band w/ great lyrics is thousand foot krutch, if he likes that kind of music. that's a hard place to be in. what would he say if he knew that he had all of these SK fans praying for him?

i had the same situation with two of my friends. i prayed and everything got better. if u could just talk to them about it and tell them it really concerns you then it makes them think that u love and care for and sometimes thats all they need to hear.

but sometimes it takes a lot more...it's worth a try though

The thiing w/ people like that is that they feel unwanted. Do stuff w/ him, go to movies, be a positive infuence. Even If he has a bad relationship w/ his dad, his dad NEEDS to know. Every parent has SOME caring fot their child, as little as it may seem. Or, better yet, tell YOUR parents If you have a better relationship w/ your parents, then they will care about you, and want to help your friend. I'll be praying really hard for Girl and your friend.

next time Hawk NElson comes to town(no pun intended HN fans)...you should really try to take him! Jason Dunn had a friend who committed suicide..and he knows how you feel...Daniel Biro talks all the time about taking time after a concert to talk to ppl regarding these type of situations...so think about that...ill be praying..Amy
