Question:
I love Jaci Velasquez. She does a great job allowing God's gift to shine through her without compromise. See, we are not to compromise with the enemy in any part of our lives. We may miss the mark sometimes, but those in the "spotlight" like Yolanda Adams need to be a little careful about the way they present themselves. People may not know where they stand with God and that is between them and God (we don't have a heaven or hell to put them in), but we have to be careful of the lost who are searching and the "babes in Christ." We don't want to give the image that it's alright to be Saved and still be like the world. We may struggle, but we are to be HOLY as He is Holy. What is it? Be of the world, but not in the world? Yes, Jesus hung out with the unpopular or the outcast, but it was to win them over. There was a mission behind it. What is the mission behind Yolanda Adams singing with K. West when his lyrics are the way they are. She is trying to win his soul for Christ backstage? Don't get me wrong, I love Adams, but we need to keep some more important things other than self in prospective. This comment comes from listening to her on the Steve Harvey Morning Show on 7/25/06.
