Has anyone ever seen a written or recorded copy of Mark Shultz's testimony about the boy with cancer that inspired him to write "He's My Son?"

Hi Wendy. Mark released a book last spring entitled "Stories Behind the Songs" in which he gave a detailed story of each songs history and beginning. That may be what you're looking for. Please visit Mark's web community at http://www.markschultzmusic.com. Smile

Hi to Mark and the fans,

I wondered what was on Mark's mind when he wrote "He's My Son". I heard it only 2 nights ago, on the Delilah show, after having seen my brother's family for thanksgiving. My nephew, age 6, has a advanced, rare form of childhood cancer. I loved the song, and Mark's wonderful voice, but couldn't concentrate on it in the car. I jumped on the internet to find out who's song it was. As I read the lyrics through, tears streamed down, as they do now everytime I listen to the song.

Mark, you hit the emotions of a father perfectly with this song. There is nothing worse than knowing your child likely won't make it through another year. This song isn't just a prayer, it's a plea.

I am so happy I discovered a new artist. But, I am even more happy that these and other of Mark's songs are telling my heart to reach out to God. Thank you for your music.

Neil

hey everyone,

my name is Louise. I'm from Malaysia. A few months ago I bought a copy of "Wow" Christian Music CD. I enjoy the Wow songs for their lyrics. He's My Son was one of the songs and I never really paid attention to the words. One day I did. And it made me cry.

Because I remembered the time when my little brother had Febrile Fits a a baby and i was very young and afraid. I thought we would lose him and I remember praying in desperation for my brother to be cured. That was the time in my life where I felt closest to God. He was my only hope. My brother is a precocious 9 year old today. God listens.

Thank you Mark Schultz for reminding me in these good times how fragile life can be. He's My Son is a profound song.
