Gospel Music Channel’s National Competition—Gospel Dream

ATLANTA, June 7, 2006—In an ironic twist worthy of a Hollywood feel-good movie, George Huff—one of the most beloved contestants from American Idol’s® season three—has landed a job with Gospel Music Channel’s Idol-style talent search, Gospel Dream. Huff will join the nationally-televised competition in NYC where he will work with amateur artists seeking to become America’s next gospel superstar.

Last month Huff’s career moved into overdrive with the debut his first music video—Miracles—on Gospel Music Channel. He is one of several Idol finalists who have embraced the booming gospel/Christian Music genre, which logs 80 million fans, 1,400 U.S. gospel radio stations, and $1 billion in album sales annually.

During June and July, Gospel Dream will travel to six cities in search of gospel’s NEXT GREAT SOLO ARTIST. Gospel Music Channel is America’s first and only 24-hour music television network devoted to the best of all styles of gospel/Christian music—contemporary to traditional, country to hip-hop.

So it appears that I am going to have to audition for Gospel Dream so I can see GEORGE here in New York!!!! The things I have to do to see that boy, but I suppose I could belt out a song to see him!

Anyway, I heard a rumor that one of you thought George will be a judge for Gospel Dream. George was hired by GMC to be a vocal coach for the auditions in New York and hopefully all the way up through the finals! (you all know that George is far too nice to be a judge of any kind - everybody would be a winner)
