Look you guys,I am tired of this.I know there are alot of people on the outside looking in saying that I may be complaining,but thats because they dont understand what's going on.
I don't want a repeat of the christmas ep.We couldn't even find the cd in the stores at all.All of us who are apart of the streetteam did all we could of telling people about the cd.I have family who are in Mississippi(tons of family members)who told other people about the ep coming out and when the time came to go buy it they couldn't find it.Now not everyone is going to drive around like us and look for a cd.Everyone doesn't have a computer to order the cd.I think if people saw the cd in the stores it would have done better.There was absolutely NO PROMOTION FOR THAT EP.

They pushed the NEW cd back why?because that way they can have room for promotion.That's great that's awesome but,Are they really going to promote him the right way when the time comes?If we can't even get this site to be updated then what makes us think they are going to put the proper promotion behind him.
There are so many people who think George is just sitting around doing nothing.He has been working hard,but alot of people don't know that.
I don't care about waiting until september for an album.I know the album is going to be great.Some of you have wrote word and we still haven't got a straight answer about Promotion.We all just want the best for George.that's all.It's not like we are asking for alot.we just want an updated website and Mods for the boards....heck one of us here can do that.Heck can we just have an updated site?We want to be assured that he is going to have solid promotion that's all.Look I was so excited when George signed with word,but my feelings are starting to change because I feel that the new people don't care for George.There are alot of successful artists that are with word. I want George to be successful also because he has something important to say to the world.I know alot of you may not understand alot of why I started this post,but I just want to feel that George has the support of his label.I just want to feel like they care.

Look I want to ask ALL the fans to post their concerns and their feelings about this situation in this thread.I am going to email all of the posts and letters to Word.We don't want to push Word into doing anything they are not willing to do,but we would like to be assured as fans and friends that you are behind George.

I would like to share letter that I wrote to Word.



I need to get a couple things off my chest here when it comes to George Huff.

I hear that the date has been pushed back for the release of his CD..AGAIN!
This frustrates me to no end. As I am sure you realize, people know George
from American Idol. July was going to be such a good release because Idol
fever would still be going strong. By September, this season will be done. The
winner and runner up will have their singles out, if not a full cd. You are
missing valuable time to use the "Idol Factor" George will make a name for
himself,I believe that more than anything. But for now, that's the cards we
should be playing.

What scares me the most is PROMOTION!! I am totally scared to death about
this. George will put out a good product, NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!! But if you
are not willing to shell out some bucks now in production (I have a sneaky
suspicion this is about money), what will the promotion be like??? PLEASE DO
NOT LET THIS BE ANOTHER EP PROMOTION MESS UP!! PLEASE!! I literally had to
drive around to 5 different stores to actually find it here in the Cleveland
area. When I would mention it to people, they would be like "George has a CD
out??" They didn't even know about it. A simple end cap with his pic and the
CDs displayed on it would have done WONDERS!! I realize that wasn't a "full"
project, so I have put that behind me. But this one PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spend
some money on promotion. You will get your investment back 100 fold. If
people know about it...they will buy it.

I just want to stress how special George is. He has a gift from God. People
will flock to buy his CD's and see him in concert. Please know that, and
please be willing to spend money, time and energy on him.

What scares me the most of all is the promotion factor. George will put out a good product…there’s no question about that. Heck, he would sound good singing in the shower with a tape recorder. This CD HAS TO BE PROMOTED RIGHT!! HAS TO!!!

Has anyone checked out the other Idols web pages? There is fun things to do, music to listen to, videos to watch, updated photos….WE GOT NOTHING!! We can all hang out here and look at the CHRISTMAS photos. And..AND, If we are REALLY lucky we’ll get updated news.

I’m sorry guys. The people here that really know me, will understand that it takes A LOT for me to get upset. I have been supporting George since the beginning, and it just upsets me to no end that I feel like he is getting short changed here.

I love George unconditionally so I will always follow and support him no matter what he does. But the average fan who comes on hoping to find out about George probably just gives up. And thats nobody's fault but WORD's.

Word does not realize what George has to offer. I can vouch that George has affected my life for the better in so many ways. If they only took the time to know what a treasure they have.

So rather than ramble on, I just want Word to start promoting George. Put out a single. Get him on TV. George has been blessed with a gift and its more than singing EMBRACE HIM WORD. TAKE CARE OF HIM AND GET ON THE BALL.

Word I can understand you holding out until the cd is finished,but cant you just change the front page and put a page holder there with news and a link to the forums.I went to all the other artists sites on your roster and they are beautiful. there are pictures, videos,and music.I went to P.O.D.(word artist)site and they are now working on a new cd that isn't finished,but you had video of them in the studio.You also had information about a new site that you are going to launch for them.That's awesome.

I mean its been christmas all year on George's site.


Word I know that you are not the biggest Label,but Latoya London(american idol finalist) is with a small label and she has already done soul train and is about release her single in June.She is also about to put her band together and get her background singers together and she is about to shoot a video and guess what she gets to pick her own director?how is that for a small Label.Actually word you have alot of big named artists on your label.who are very very successful.So I can't even say you are a small label.

WORD we are not trying to be pushy at all we are just fans of a great loving talented man who is way too talented to be put on the side lines like this. George needs to be put out there now and have promotion for the upcoming cd now. While the AI fire is hot,(couse of the AI final coming up), is when you should promote him. Get him out there while people are very interested in anything AI.

I understand a bit waiting on getting his cd out there but I have been around long enough to see what can happen with AI people when their cd gets released late and just when some other AI singer releases something. Can we say Justin Gurini. His cd got pushed back big time and when they did release it they released it on the same day as they were releasing Clay and Rubens singles. BIG MISTAKE!!! Clay sold great, Ruben sold well enough and Justins full cd tanked. then I could put out there poor Diana Degarmo; her cd hasn't tanked but it did not sell as well as it should have and part of that is cause of NO PROMOTION to speak of and her cd was released when all kind of other idols were releasing cd's through those top cd months,(Clay,Kelly, Ruben, Fantasia). I don't want to see what has happened to these two happen to George; he deserves the chance to have a cd that sells really well.

WORD you have so many of us here chomping at the bit to help you guys put; we love George so much that we want to spread the word about him. We can't do much until we have something to spread word of. Update the site,(new pics and please new colors,(new colors to draw you in), and we can give people the link to sign on it. Put some music clips up so new people can hear Georges pure beautiful voice singing the songs to inspire and glorify the lord. Get the store open with T-shirts and key chains and other stuff so we can start buying stuff and show off around our cities who George Huff is. We here have so many ideas to help you out, but you need to communicate with us here so we can help. We are here to help spread the word that George is trying to spread, but we need help.

WORD as I said before we are not trying to be pushy or rude we are just getting upset being left in the dark. We are Georges truest fans and will stand behind him no matter what, but the fans that are just so and so fans need to see, hear, have info on George so they can keep him fresh in their minds.

Please I beg you don't let what we are saying fall on deaf ears. We believe in George so much; please show us that WORD STILL BELIEVES IN HIM LIKE WE DO AND LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY SIGNED HIM. HE is worth believing in and when you see that then nothing else needs to be said.

Please don't ignore us; just let us know something so we aren't sitting here feeling so down cause someone we all love can't be helped by us; his most adoring, caring, Loving fans/Friends.

First, I must say that if not for George's light and love of God I would have not had George's prayers and his help to recover from cancer.

It has once again come to my attention that George Huff will not be releasing his album in July. We, HuffNation, and all the millions of other fans, have waited and hope since February. Now we wait until September???

Can't we atleast get a single? Those sales would be through the roof.

We love George Huff. He is most respected. We, HuffNation, promote constantly. We need your help here too. Promotion is the key to sales.

Something right then went through my body. Then he sang Count on You. I cried again. George helped me find my way back to the Lord. he helped me do this through his music. he can do it for others too. So once again, PLEASE stop pushing this back.

I certainly hope nobody reads my post and thinks that I don't see all their words as lifting up and supporting George!! I applaud you all for speaking your minds.
It is obvious that we just care about George and want to see him blessed with the passion that lies in his heart to reach out through music.

Of course I see that! That is why in my prayer I mentioned that I am praying that Word reads each thought shared by a fan and sees them not as negative but as constructive critisim in support of George and his music career.

As some of you know I work in advertising. I see everyday what it takes to market a product. The months of research and planning and finding the right peices to the puzzle that will ultimately come together and form a beautiful product.

The key to marketing something is to develop positive energy! You need to find that passion and then find a creative way to bring that passion to your target audience.

It is my hope that Word is identifying a clear picture or vision of who their target audience is for George's music and how they will go about reaching them. I think because George is going mainstream Christian this is alot tricker. George is going to target two very different audiences for his music. The Christian market through The Gospel Music Association and then the Secular/Pop mainstream market. This is not an easy task.

I applaud the job they have been doing so far!

How many people can say that they went out on tour with the Gospel Music Associations Female Vocalist of the Year before they even had an album on the market????? Wow!! That is a fantastic break for George!

How many people can say that on their first album they got to work with an artist such as Michael W Smith one of the all time top selling Christian artists and songwriters in the history of contemporary Christian music??? HOW COOL IS THAT!!! What a fantastic opportunity for George!!!

Working with big name people opens more doors! George has been working with some fantastic big names! We should be excited about it!! OMGosh what a blessing!!! Those two names alone are going to generate interest when that album comes out!

How many new artists get the opportunity to help write their own songs and music on their first album?? Oh my what a blessing for George and a huge opportunity for growth in an area that is near to his heart and inspires him! The album is going to mean so much more to George because HIS hands were involved in it! Not even Clay Aiken can boast that his first album had that much of his own input, it was out fast and it did well but I bet you anything his next album with more of his own input is going to be much more amazing! George is soooo blessed to have this opportunity!!!!

That was the Christian based side of things for George. Now lets look at how are they reaching out to the secular mainstream audience? Is George being marketed right now to them? You bet he is!!!

George got to go and sing for the General Mills event where I bet there might have been a future sponsor or two involved in that event.

George was able to reach the current American Idol fans through several Mall tours where his mainstream audience was in attendence. It gave him an opportunity to actually meet and greet this target audience and we all know that when you meet George face to face that His JOY and His energy sells himself and creates a heartprint on the hearts of all the people he meets! OH MY gosh how many future album buyers were at those mall tours????

George also sat in the audience again for AI4 and the camera's always seemed to find him! Why? Because of his energy and his joy!!!! From what I hear, last night Diana Degarmo was in that audience she took 2nd last year...did you see her face on the finale in the audience??? NOPE. But we sure did get to see George!!!

Getting him on family fued and keeping his face and name tied to American Idol with other idol contestants..that too was GREAT!! And honestly who stole that show on fued??!?!?! GEORGE!! Again his energy and passion and JOY shined well above the others! People will remember George saying CHARLIE HORSE!! Ha ha ha!!! That was hilarious and so genuine George!

That is the man we love...true to himself...true to his heart...and down right funny!!!! He needs some guest appearances on some primetime comedy shows!!! Oh man I can totally see that in his future!

Then George went to the housecall party last night for KIIS FM radio with JoJO who happens to be one of the hottest DJ's for the pop scene in LA and if you look at the people who JoJO has in his studio they are familiar faces in the pop culture! When George walked into that house last night could you hear the energy level in the room increase?? OH MY I sure did!!! People genunially LOVE GEORGE!!! JoJo even picked up on it and made a comment about it and when George could not tell him the exact date of the release of his album JoJo said..I am giving you my number and You call me when you have a better date! That means a repeat appearance on the radio with JoJO is in George's future and let me tell you...JoJO can open doors! WooHoo!! Go George!!!!

I think that George's people have done a great job to date of identifying George's target audiences, found ways to put his face out there in all the right places and long before his album has even hit the shelves!

Good things are happening for George I feel it! We need to stay excited! We need to see the postive and let that speak for itself

It's disappointing that we have to wait longer to hear that beautiful music! OH man you have no idea how much I wish I could have made even ONE of those Nicole C Mullen concerts because I want to hear those songs sooooooooooooooooo bad!

This is the area that Word has missed...keeping the dedicated fans who are here reading and watching and speading the word of George's excited by pictures, audio, and video clips of what he's been doing. So that when someone does see George in any of those events and comes out here..they can see and hear the other fun things going on for George!! Visual excitement is key too!!

I mean we all would come back and watch and listen to audio and video over and over to tide us over while we wait for September. How many times do we visit Ann's site to look at pictures and remember all the fun we had with the AI3 tour!

I guess my point is...that they are marketing George and they are hitting his target audiences and George is going to do great! In the short term though...word needs to remember that we like to visit this site and see new things. Keep us excited so that we go out to other message boards and spread that excitement!

I Love all my friend in Huffnation! We are just one great big family!

I love The Huff family George's sisters have such passion for his music ministry and the love that is shared between George and his family is so inspiring!!!

And most of all I just LOVE Mr. George Huff! I love his tender heart, I love is passion for our Lord and the way our Lord's gospel just spews from his heart through his words and his actions, I LOVE His JOY and his Energy!!!

Let's celebrate what an amazing start George has had and look forward with positive energy for all that is on that path that George is walking! I don't think God would want us to see it any other way!

So to sum up all that I just said there.

1. Word has done a great job of targeting George's marketable audience and has reached out to them

2. George has been blessed with some amazing opportunities to both create inspiring music hands on having input into that music and has already had the opportunity to perform that music in various outlets in both Christian and Pop cultures.

3. George has an amazing sense of Joy and Passion! His energy leaves an heartprint on our hearts and we Don't forget him!

4. All that said, Word could be doing a better job of visually communicating all of those wonderful promotions that they have already been helping him with.

5) Let's see a audio or video clips & photos of:

a) the General Mills event.
b) The Mall tours,
c) The awards shows he's attended and peformed at
d) Nicole's concert appearances..seeing a photo of George on a big stage in front of large audiences could ignite fans hearts!

f) AI4 shots

i) Some in studio shots from Nashville and LA

j) let's hear the Radio interviews..he's given plenty!!

k) Open the store!!!

and so much more!! You see the promotion has been there, it is the creative visual proof of that promotion that is lacking! George has been busy!!!
But when you come to this website can you see it? If I tell my coworker who happens to see George on AI4 to check out this site, will they SEE George's JOY and Energy?? Those are his strengths and that is what is missing here. It's not to hard to correct though *wink*
