Before leaving for Quarryville my two objectives were first, to get my sister there without leaving her on a park bench in a strange city while I race to see George and second to get my picture with him. We got there early so we wouldn't have another Hershey Park incident were we had to run through the entire park. They pretty much had the entire area closed off so i positioned myself where i could see when George came into the park. Then I saw what appeared to be George but my sister kept saying it wasn't. I said "look he's hugging everyone" This is George!!!. Finally after awhile George came out a jumpin and bouncing and told all the kids to come to the front of the stage. I figured what the heck so i went up with the kids. When he saw me he yelled out my name and that smile of his. He makes you feel so special. He was on quite awhile and sang pretty much all of his songs from the cd plus Whitney Houstons "The Greatest Love of All". His voice was so strong and when he sang "You Know Me" it was mesmerizing.... He was so funny. He did his Erkel impression and while he was singing one of his songs he stopped for a split second and then continued on. After the song was over he explained to us he had to "burp". Everyone laughed...After the show they had a meet and greet and i was sure to get my picture but i didn't consider the fact that these kids could move faster than me. We ended up at the end of the line. I would say a good 2 hr wait which was good for George but bad for us so we decided to get out of line and go home without my picture. Just as we started to walk to the car here comes George in a golf cart right in front of us. What Luck!!!!!!!!!! Got my pictures and my hugs. What a great day. What a great guy!!!!!

so neat to see the messages about george being in quarryville. i had the distinct pleasure of going to the airport in baltimore to pick george and his road manager up and bringing them to quarryville. after he was done signing autographs, i took them to willow valley to spend the night. i got up at 3:30 on sunday morning in order to pick them up at willow valley and have them back to the airport by 6:00. he is absolutely one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet.
i also have a neat story about something that happened after we left the park on saturday, but i don't have time to type it. i'll try to remember to do that when i have time.
