Well, since it's Sunday, I thought it would be nice to infuse a little "sumpin' sumpin'" for the Lord. Knowing that God is such a huge part of George's life, I thought this would be appropriate...if not, let me know...
Pure Logic A college student was in a philosophy class which had a discussion about God's existence. The professor presented the following logic: "Has anyone in this class heard God?" Nobody spoke. "Has anyone in this class touched God?" Again, nobody spoke. "Has anyone in this class seen God?" When nobody spoke for the third time, he simply stated, "Then there is no God." One student thought for a second, and then asked for permission to reply. Curious to hear this bold student's response, the professor granted it, and the student stood up and asked the following questions of his classmates: "Has anyone in this class heard our professor's brain?" Silence. "Has anyone in this class touched our professor's brain?" Absolute silence. "Has anyone in this class seen our professor's brain?" When nobody in the class dared to speak, the student concluded, "Then, according to our professor's logic, it must be true that our professor has no brain!" (...The student received an "A" in the class.) A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel... |

Shine On Us (Phillips Craig and Dean) Lord, let Your light, Light of Your face Shine on us Lord, let Your light, Light of Your face Shine on us That we may be saved That we may have life To Shine our way in the darkest night Let Your light shine on us Lord, let Your grace, Gace from Your hand, Fall on us Lord, let Your grace, Gace from Your hand, Fall on us That we may be saved That we may have life To Shine our way in the darkest night Let Your grace fall on us Lord, let Your love Love with no end Come over us Lord, let Your love Love with no end Come over us That we may be saved, That we may have life To Shine our way in the darkest night Let Your love come over us Let Your light Shine on us Heavenly Father, We join our hearts and minds in this moment to ask that You shine Your light down upon us. Touch us with Your grace and give us peace that we might know the will You have for our lives. We lift up all those who may be in need and ask for a blessing upon their lives. We are thankful for the gift of light, grace and love. We rejoice in the Joy that George has helped us to feel as he continues to stay in Your presence and walk in Your light. Remain strong in his life and continue to give him the vision that will guide him in this music ministry. In your grace and by your mercy. Amen. Have a wonderful day Huffnation. ~Meesh~ From the fullness of God's grace we all have received one blessing upon another!!! |

Shelley that was sweet. Thanks!
I am reading a book from Mother Teresa that is titled "Everything Starts From Prayer" and in her book she says. . " The more you pray, the easier it becomes. The easier it becomes, the more you pray." She also said this. .which I found to be very profound. " The more we empty ourselves, the more room we give God to fill us." and one more quote to inspire you to give it up to God today. . . " Make sure that you let God's grace work in your souls by accepting whatever He gives you, and giving Him whatever He takes from you. True holiness consists of doing God's will with a smile." *SMILING* Hey don't you just love when George *smiles* From the fullness of God's grace we all have received one blessing upon another!!! |

Those were great Meesh! The one about doing God's will with a smile is so important. My daughter Sheila is teaching at our church's pre-school now and that is one of the lessons we were talking about. I honestly think children get things regarding being a Christian better than adults do. I guess that's why we're admonished to be as children when petitioning the Father...

There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed
atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. For twenty years, he had taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him because of his reputation. At the end of every semester on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, "If there is anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!" In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "Because anyone who believes in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that He is God, and yet He can't do it." And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. All of the students would do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students thought that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up. Well, a few years ago there was a freshman who happened to enroll. He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about his professor. He was required to take the class for his major, and he was afraid. But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said, or what the class thought. Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith...he hoped. Finally, the day came. The professor said, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!" The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, "You FOOL!!! If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!" He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it! slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe.As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man, and then ran out of the lecture hall. The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of the room and shared his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God's love for them and of His power through Jesus. You have 2 choices: 1. Delete this and never look at it again. 2. Pass this along to your Christian and non-Christian friends, giving them the encouragement we all need every day. When you choose option 2, you have chosen to STAND A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel... |

I love this letter, hope you guys do to!
To: YOU Date: TODAY From: GOD - The Boss! Subject: YOURSELF Reference: LIFE This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do not need your help. So, have a nice day. I love you. GOD P.S. And, remember.... If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself !! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them! Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you, you may have touched their life in ways you will never know! Now, you have a nice day, God A Smile Is A Facelift in Everybody's Price Range! |

Wow Trish lots of wisdom in those words. Thank You
Happy Sunday my Huffnation family Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning it's shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3 Father, Let us fix our eyes upon You today and see that oneness that You graciously offer to us. A wholeness of heart, mind, and spirit. A goodness that fills us up and offers us hope that we too can make a difference in the lives of another. Grant us wisdom to know the ways of kindness and hospitality. Give us courage to stand in times of trial and need. Bring us to that quiet place where we can release the burdens in our heart and as an empty vessel be filled with Your divine love and light. Father let us know You and feel Your presence on this day and each day forward. You bring us fullness and hope. Through Your grace we can stand silent with security and trust in Your will. Abba Father we lift Your name on high today and offer up to You all our praise. Amen. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Romans 8:27 This message has been edited.
