Wow! What a wonderful day!

The trip to Buffalo was uneventful. Even the border crossing was easy. So we got to the McKinley Mall in about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

That left about 3 hours 30 minutes to wait to see George. Or so I thought. While I ate lunch the mall staff and the radio station, KISS 98.5, were setting up the stage and sound systems. Being me, I went over and introduced myself to them. We had a short converstation about George. (of course, who else would I talk about at any mall)

And they did sell the CD's there at the Mall. Which is why I was bugging the mall manager in the first place.

After lunch we wandered the mall and waited for time for George to pop out at 6:30 and be his wonderful self. At 5pm I went back to get a good seat so George could see me. The radio station manager from KISS came over and said she had heard I was a George Fan from Canada and if I would sign a release form so she could take my picture she would give me a free CD and take me backstage before the show to see George.

A prayer answered!!!

There were about 6 other people that had won a contest for the radio station there, so I let them all go ahead of me to be last and surprise George.

As the person helping him spread out the 5 things I had for him to sign he was not looking up. So I said very softly. "Hello Brother George." He jumped out of his chair and started yelling. "Miss Annnnn, Miss Annn." Everyone was curious and we did not explain. Then came the hugging and kissing and gabbing and of course being reminded of the time.

George looked good. Maybe a bit tired. He sounded fantastic! First he sang 'Brighter Day'. He had so much energy and the crowd sang along. Second was 'See What God Can Do' I think he sounded just like the CD. His Third song was hmmm lemme see.. I think 'Hold on to Love'. He wants that to be a video. I may have these out of order, but he also sang 'Bounce' with lots of kids, and 'Miracles'. I can say I enjoyed them all and got some stares for singing along too loud.

((Correction, the song was "ONLY LOVE"...not Hold on to Love...))

After the show, I was worried about him having enough time to sign for everyone that was in line. After 2 hours the mall was closing and asked that he wrap it up. No one was left disappointed. George laughed and joked and hugged them all.

We sat near by and when time was up we said our goodbyes and gave out more hugs and kisses.

During the signing we had a surprise visitor. John Stevens came by to say Hi to George on his way to being interview by KISS.
