Hey ya'll
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!Looks like I will be getting to go. My car is running better. They had cleaned the engine and said it had just needed to dry out good. That some water had gotten a few places it wasn't supposed to. We are so excited. I will take lots of pictures for you guys. Don't know if he'll have a meet and greet at this or not. If he does it'll depend on how tired the kids are if I stay for that. But if I see him, I'll give him lots of hugs. So he'll get them twice from both Miss Lilly and I. I have to leave back out of town bout the time I get back here, so it'll be close to the weekend before I can get some pics up and give ya'll a recap (sorry).

I hope you 2 get to see him. I know that American Idol will be following him around. They are doing either a segmant on him for the show or thier magazine. I am not sure yet!

oh and Trish its going to be for the American Idol Extra show, just to let everyone know.
Heres what I found out:

The show will premiere on Fox Reality channel on March 16 (thu) at 6.30pm and repeats at 10.30pm
This show will last exactly 11 weeks, until we crown the winner of season 5!!

Nicole will be there Sun. afternoon. I wish I could stay and see her as well. She is awesome. I met her when she and George were here in Monroe for a concert. She is a very sweet person. Beautiful voice. It's a 5 hour drive for me. So I'll have to leave before time for that show.

Yeah I know about leaving to get home from a long drive. If I wasn't gonna see her for my birthday gift, yeahhh I would be trying to do more road trips. I still want to see George next month, but so far can't make it happen.

WHAT A PERFORMANCE , HE WAS AWESOME , WHERE I SAT I COULDN'T SEE HIM VERY WELL BUT THEY HAD VERY , VERY LARGE TV SCREENS , YOU COULD SEE EVERYTHING HE DID , DID YOU ALL KNOW HE HAS A GOOTEE ? I THINK IT MAKES HIM LOOK OLDER .
WHAT A CROWD , ALL SEATS WERE FILLED , PEOPLE WERE STANDING DOUBLE WHERE I WAS .
THE WHOLE PROGRAM WAS FANTASTIC BUT OF COURSE I WAS THERE FOR MY SPECIAL ANGEL .
THEY GAVE INVATATION FOR PEOPLE WHO WANTED JESUS AS THEIR PERSONAL SAVIOR , THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS WENT FORWARD TO PRAY THROUGH , THEY WERE STILL COMING WHEN I LEFT .
I DIDN'T GET TO SEE GEORGE PERSONALLY , SO NO HUGS FOR ME , SO I COULDN'T GET A HUG FOR ALL OF YOU EITHER , SORRY .
HE DID CALL ME TWICE YESTERDAY , I ASKED HIM WHAT HE THOUGHT OF SINGING IN THE CRUSADE , HE TOLD ME WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT THAT AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT'S HAPPENING IN HIS LIFE .

Hey everybody,
Let me start at the begining. My son invited my nephew to go with us. Well the kids fought all the way down there. (I had 4 children with me.)well we get there and I go trying to find the motel where we were gonna stay. The road was blocked by a parade. So we get out and watch the parade. It was an Irish parade. They were throwing cabbages. Never seen anything like that in my life.(They were trhowing beads and other things also.) Anyway the motel was right there where we were standing. So we went in. all the rooms were gone. So we had to find another motel. So I drive around. The cheapest one I could find was $150 bucks.(ouch). So we start getting ready to go to the crusade. Well we load up into the car. My car sounded funny so I checked the oil. It was bone dry.(I just got it fixed for that,so I thought). I had to hunt down a Wal-Mart. Well finally found that, got the oil thing situated, and we were off to the crusade. Well by the time we get there it was packed. We had to sit to the side kinda at the backside of the stage where the curtain was. So we could barely see. Well I'm looking down and see George standing there. So I told my daughter, THERE'S GEORGE. Then there he was on the big screen tv's(thank God for those.)He looked awesome so handsome. He sang Real Love first and told everyone to stand up. So everyone is kinda lookin at us funny cuz we're dancing and singing with him, but we didn't care. Then he sang See What God Can Do. And that was it. I was so disappointed that he didn't sing more. He has actually learned to dance a little better. And you could tell he was so evcited to be there. So we watched the rest of the show. Well they called for people to come down if they wanted to give their lives to Jesus. My son starts yelling I wanna go (he's 11). So we went down. I could see George sitting on the stage. He was so excited by all the people coming down. Well it was time to leave . My daughter starts stomping up the stairs saying I want to see my man. I asked who is your man. She turned around and looked at me and said duh George. I just started laughing. I told her she would have to wait til next time to meet him. Then she and my youngest son started crying. They were so disappointed. We went Sun. morning and vistsed with Miss Lilly for a litle bit. Wish I could have stayed longer. She is such a sweet person. She justs lights up when she talks about Goerge. He has that effect on people.The kids were hollering to go to the zoo. So we had to go. We did that and caught another cabbage parade where my nephew caught one and said he was gonna take his lettuce home to his momma.Well they fought most of the way back home til they went to sleep. that was so nice. Sorry this is so long. Thought a give ya'll all the details. I did take some pictures. Don't know how they'll turn out because of where I was sitting. I took one every time he walked to that side of the stage and a couple of the big screens. So maybe I'll be able to get something IO can put on here. I going to get them done today and take my car BACK to the shp. So I'll have them on here probably tommorrow.

awwww Rhonda it sounds like you had an "eventful" trip. I'm sorry you and Lilly didn't get to see George but he seemed like he was very busy!

Thanks for sharing your story, I know it probably wasn't funny at the time, but it made me laugh because I could imagine my 3 kids in the car and the cabbages lol and them all wanting to see George.

WOW WHAT A ROAD TRIP YOU HAD. THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU A PURPLE HEART. FUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION ABOUT GEORGE'S DANCING BECAUSE I NOTICED ON TBN HIS LAST SONG WHEN HE BROUGHT THE PEOPLE ON STAGE THAT HE HAD "THE BEAT" GOING ON. OH, I LUV THIS MAN....
