Our radio station was doing a van stop just a few blocks away to collect shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I didn't have a shoebox put together but I did need a bumper sticker and I wanted to talk about George being as I STILL have not heard him on the radio and I'm not getting any replies to my emails. So I thought a little face to face visit was needed. I pulled out my Miracles CD case and showed it to him and he (the afternoon DJ) said....'oh he was on American Idol'. And preceeded to tell him that yes and the CD is awesome and it needs to be heard on the Z. He said the morning DJ bought the CD so they have it at the station but he doesn't make the decisions of the music for the station and he would pass along the info. So then I said...."he also has a Christmas CD" and I showed him that case. And he did say that they are looking for good new Christmas songs to start playing. I told him it's a great CD. He opens it up and says....'ooops there's no CD'. I was like..... OHHHHHH you want it???? And so I reached up...pushed eject and gave him my CD!! I miss it already. I didn't really want to do that cause now I will be on a scavenger hunt to find another one. But I will do anything to get him on our station.
Nope...it's wasn't autographed. It was supposed to be though..lol. Last week I was visiting the Huff's in Texas and George was supposed to be home...but he stayed longer in Oklahoma. Came home late Friday and left early Sat morning so I didn't get to see him
Way to Go Staci!!! WOOOO HOOOO! Is that station Z88.3 FM? Cuz I listen to that online. I don't have a gospel radio station near me. I have called and requested his music on their station. They told me to email them.
I haven't tried to catch him on the radio here; although there is a gospel station (amazing for a small market), I haven't listened to it and no one else in my house does...
