My heart is full of so many things that I want to say to the Huff family, as Im sure there are many things that all of us wish to share. I wanted to just start a thread real quick as a way for me to put into words how im feeling and what I wish I could say to them right now.....please join in and do the same thing if you felt led to. Hopefully they will be able to get back online somewhere somehow...


What to say? I can barely speak of your names without crying...each of you in the Huff family that I have had the honor of getting to know has touched my life in a very special way. You hear all the time of people who go above and beyond and reach out....the Huff family is a perfect example of that good natured spirit. You have opened up your hearts and lives and invited us in and have left footprints in my heart forever! I love you all dear, you are my family!!! God is with each of you right now and I know you are feeling our prayers. Anytime that I have been in trouble, without even thinking twice you have been there for me. In this time of need we desperately want to reach out and be there for you....we love you so much!!! Take care of yourselves and may the Lord comfort your fears and just hold on to love and it will lead you to the light! In my darkest of days that I have known this fine family, various members have dropped things just to talk to me or do anything that they can. From first hand experience George, Monica, and Tokewia have given me a very amazing gift in my life.....and that is to show me the power of prayer. My own testimony is that yes I have prayed all the time since I have become a born again christian...but I never realized how powerful prayer was until meeting the Huff's and being around the huffnation. God is good people....know that! Prayer is essential and prayer can move mountains. Thank you for everything you have done for me personally Huff family and everything you have done for our own community here. God bless you and it is because of the power of prayer that each of you are out of harms way as I speak! I love you so much, beyond words!

Thank you for watching over my family, the Huffs. Thank you for allowing our lives to interconnect and giving me people that are such a great influence in my life. I love them dearly and thank you for hearing and answering all of our prayers for their safety. Be with them, comfort them, restore their faith, may they still be on fire for you God. Ohh how I know without a shadow of a doubt all the great plans you have instore for them and I know that they have already walked out of this stronger than ever. May they hear this prayer tonight and the prayers of everyone. I pray for all of those affected by this grave tragedy and that if they keep holding on to love that you, God, will lead them to the light. In your precious name...AMEN!

I too have learned so much from the Huff's and of course all of you here at Huffnation. Many of my family members (I won't mention thier names :X) complain because I am on this computer every night. But I have to tell you that because of George Huff and the friends I have met along the way, I am the person I am today.

I admire the strength the Huff's have, I admire the strength Miss Lilly has. Now is our turn to give back to them, as they have given so much to us.

Trish thank you for mentioning miss lilly because she, like the huffs, have been in the same situation with avoiding this storm.


Praise God that she is okay!!!!! Miss Lilly is a jewel in my life. I'll never forget the first time I emailed her, after hearing all about this amazing woman and its like my heart connected to hers somehow as I wrote out this very first email to her...I think I typed a whole novel! Miss Lilly always makes sure to keep in contact with me and her words, her compassion, her caring spirit, her christian love and faith.....moves me to no extreme. I could only hope that someday I obtain the amount of faith and love that Miss Lilly has in her heart.....I love her dear and I call her my grandmother because she has been such a faithful member of my family here to me...Miss Lilly pleaseeeeeee I hope you read this soon....you are in my prayers and I know you feel them. I am sending you lots of prayers and good thoughts right now....you will rise above!

They have been an amazing part of my life too. There are no words to say. What can you say when someone close to you has to go through something like this? Not much. As long as they know I love each and everyone of them and as long as they know I am praying for them and thinking about them, that is enough for the Huffs.I am so very thankful they are safe. Material things are just that, material things. They have their lives, and they have eachother, and they have God. Thats all that matters. I love each and everyone of them! I hope to be able to talk to Tokewia soon. I miss her happy voice.

Well, since I don't know them like you all do, I have to go on what I do know. I know that the Huff family are warm, caring, loving people with a love and joy that comes across to everyone...even via e-mail. I know that they are wonderful brothers and sisters in our Savior Jesus Christ and that the love for God has brought so many here together because of a simple smile and a beautiful gift that we were all blessed enough to receive...which you know is our George. What an instrument for Jesus he has been and the good work will continue at an ever increasing rate...there will be miracles from the destruction and devastation. How many people have cried out to God from this tragedy? Is that not a miracle in itself? People are seeking His face and many of us are praying more than we've prayed in a long time. I'm just so thankful that when things like this happen, we realize how important it is to tell each other how much we care and how blessed we are to be a part of God's family. My heart goes out to all who are suffering right now. I have been blessed to know this family as well. Monica is just the sweetest young lady. I have such respect for her compassionate heart. She reminds me a lot of myself in that she feels things deeply and can be a little shy at first..but when you get her started..wow she has so much to say.

I talked with Monica yesterday and heard the pain in her voice as she watched the television and saw so many people losing hope and dying a slow death of dehydration. She was concerned for the babies who have not had water or food and are so ill that they cannot even cry. I could see that she..like me can feel their brokenness and she like me knows that the most precious gift we have to offer right now is our hearts in prayer over this entire situation.

I have grown tremendously in my prayer life because of the love of this family and their example. George is blessed to have so much love surrounding him.

I could go on and on but the truth in a simple sentence is. .

George and the Huff Family live what they believe and that is that the Love of family, faith in God, and commitment to loving others is the greatest gift we have to offer.

When we stand in the family of God and love each other unconditionally there is nothing that can stop us from fulfilling the promise of God's will in our lives. I love that about this community of friends. God is at the center of our bond and George is our brother and his family is our family. I feel it and it's wonderful.

As George would say... Yall get ready cause our family is going to grow!

I don't know the Huffs very well either. I have only chatted with Monica a few times but I know how strong that family is. The amazing faith they have spills out of them. They know that God is their provider and their protector. We can learn so much from them and I am thankful that they have been brought into my life even in an indirect way. I was just watching the video clip on George on Showbiz Tonight and I am just blown away by how positive he remains. It is obvious that he is pained by the situation and it hurts to know that his family is still in danger, but he continues to remain faithful and positive. His family has lost everything and yet he wants to help others. This man is truly an amazing servant of God. The world is blessed to have people like the Huff in it. Thank you Lord for protecting them and using them to do your work.

Thanks for all the great messages to this thread everyone...I really feel like we're all a family and the Huffs have just been such a blessing in each of our lives, as you can read.
