It was a sad day - one day after X-mas in 2004 - when my husband and I found out our daughter had been sexually abused for about 8 months. Her name is Breanna Marie and she is now 10 years old (she was 8 at the time of the abuse).
Brea was spending the night at a relatives house when we were informed. It was about 8pm. Confused, hurt, sad, and more swept our hearts for hours. She did not know that we knew. So, we decided to allow God to help us until the next day when we would talk to Brea. We spent time that evening with our Pastor, prayed and tried to comfort each other.
The next day, we decided it was best that I pick Brea up and spend time with her (mother and daughter) to talk with her. I would (with God's strength) ask her about the abuse, try to figure out the extend that she would needed help, inform her of upcoming events that would take place (police reports, physicals etc.).

It was the next day and I was on my way to pick up Brea when God spoke to me and told me to turn on the radio. I didn't want to - so for a few seconds I didn't. I wanted quiet - and stillness. However, I felt God telling me to turn on the radio. So, I did. Immediately - I heard this song ---- didn't know the name nor the singer. I just felt the comfort of ' I am '! I was embraced by God and knew that no matter what happened in the next hours, days to come that He is my God and that is all that I, Breanna and my husband will need.

Within days, I tried to find out who sung the song I had heard. It took me 5 days - but I found out and immediately purchased the CD. This song speaks to me daily!!!!

Our life has had it's ups and downs over the last 2 years. We are now able to say that the abuse is behind us, knowing that there will continue to be good/bad days. However, it is so true to say that God is and that is enough to help us through anything. Without that song - I am not sure how God would have spoken to me.

Last summer - I was able to teach CPR to this wonderful lady/couple that just gave birth to their third daughter. As we talked - we found out that we had more things in common than we knew. This mother is the mother of Brianna - the little girl that Nicoles song speaks of.

I often think - Does Nicole know how awesome she is when she allows God to use her to speak to many in times of need? That is the reason why I am posting this.
