Nicole, I believe it was last year that you were in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at La Croix church. My husband and I came with our two sons and our two nieces. We were able to get autographs and meet you after the concert. We gave them your cd's and they have become fans and talk about that experience to everyone. TRAGEDY struck this last Sunday, March 5th when a house fire broke out about 4:30 am. There were 4 adults and 5 children in the house. This is the family of our nieces that you met. Everyone was awoke by the screams of my 13 yr old nephew, he ended up receiving 2nd degree burns and sent to St Louis to a burn unit, but was able to be released yesterday. The girls made it out, but their cousin who lived with them died. Her name was Angelique and she was 12. Her dad also lived there and he is physically okay. Her funeral is Monday at 2:00 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The house was a total loss, but many churches and people have come together and really helped out this family. Our first response was how great it would be if you could come and sing at the funeral service, just you, no band, nothing fancy. But I know you probably just can't. But is there anyway at all we can get two autographed posters or pictures for our nieces, one for each? The ones they got at the concert were obviously destroyed in the fire. Their names are Shandelle and Mychol, they are 14. We didn't get to take Angelique to your concert. We are hoping that receiving these posters, will help the girls cope with things a little. Please know we ARE NOT asking for any charity or money or anything, just prayers and autographed posters. I am so sorry to hear about this loss. It's extremely difficult to hear of a child dying, or any family member at all.

I was also at that concert in Cape, and since has lost my Mom. I sure wish Nicole reads this and at least is able to send the girls some autographed pics to replace the one's they lost in the fore. I pray they get settled and be in a new home soon. Send our condolences to them from us here at the Nicole message board.
