They do say "pop" They do they do..and YES, she did drink outta my cup. I couldn't keep her away, I told her what I have is catching. Geesh, every time I turned around, she had my drink. Some people these days just don't know proper manners.

No one in the DS (Deep South)ever says, "Do you want a Sprite?" They say, "Do you want a Coke?" And you answer, "Sure, I'll take a Mr. Pibb."

No decent southern-bred nurse ever says, "How many sodas (or pops or soft drinks) do you drink a day?" She (or he, like my cousin) says, "'bout how many COKES do you drink a day?"

I know all about Coke, just not the secret formula.

Yesterday, Peter Parker and those children we spawned, spent a delightful morning at the Coca Cola Museum in Atlanta. This was part of our two-day mini-vacation to the WLEP of G which stands for the, "world's largest piece of exposed granite" otherwise known as Stone Mountain, which we've been to a jillion times because we have a season pass but it's still fun anyway.

I believe, a little of my higher education was financed by some funds that originated with the Candler family foundation and since Coca Cola was born and raised in GA and the adopted child of Asa Candler, I'd be terribly disloyal to the Candler's generosity if I ever referred to a soft drink by any other name than a COKE.

I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and we called everything a drink. If you wanted something you sent for a drink and then when asked what kind you said, pepsi, coke, sprite, etc...

Oh and Lucie, my Mom drank Tabs all the time. I really have not seen one in ages, then she got us hooked to Dr. Pepper, (yeah I still remember the song).
