George Huff, Nicole C. Mullen, BarlowGirl, Yolanda Adams perform at Gospel Angels concert for hurricane relief American Idol Celebrity George Huff, who recently lost his home in New Orleans, along with Nicole C. Mullen, BarlowGirl and Yolanda Adams will be featured tonight on the Gospel Music Channel’s “Gospel Angels” televised concert. Taping live at Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park from 7:00 – 9:00pm ET, the event will broadcast one hour later from 8:00 – 10:00 pm ET. The Gospel Music Channel, in partnership with the Gospel Music Association’s Project Restore, is staging the concert to restore hope to families left in the wake of hurricane Katrina. In addition to these Word Label Group artists, the unprecedented, ‘live,’ nationally televised Gospel Angels will bring together some of the Christian music industry’s renowned stars including host CeCe Winans, Blind Boys of Alabama, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary and Fred Hammond, among others. More info on Gospel Angels: National Simulcast: the Gospel Music Channel, i (formerly PAX TV), the Worship Network, and XM Radio from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm 100% of the proceeds raised through on-site and phone donations during the Gospel Angels event will go to the hurricane relief efforts of World Vision and Feed the Children. Thank you for posting this! I found several pictures with my friends and I in them! I was standing right up against the barricade in front of the stage when Nicole came on. That was an awesome gift from the Lord! He is so good! He has been using two of her songs to bring a lot of healing into my life (Call on Jesus and Redeemer), and this unexpected gift of seeing her live and so close up was like Him reaching down and saying to me, "I heard you singing along with those songs to Me all those times, and the healing is real..." God bless ya'll! "When you call on Jesus, all things are possible..." |
