I just want to say that this song has always moved me, but just recently it has become more than just a song for me. I have a friend who was listed as KIA in Iraq a few weeks ago. As I was driving kids to school, I was deep in pray and the tears were flowing, when this song came on the radio. I thought how appropiate and I thanked God for the reminder. The next day, I got word that my friend wasn't listed as KIA anymore, and instead he was MIA.
I went to my local Christian book store to find a CD with this song on it, so I could pray with it. I prayed God would sustain my friend and bring him home safely. I prayed for his wife, that she too would be sustained in this time of uncertainty. I have to admitt that at first, because I was so deep in prayer, I just had the chorus, I didnt really listen to the verses. I played it over and over and over again. Never once making it through the song without tears. When I finally got offical word that my friend did make it home, to his heavenly home I was in my car. I had this song playing in the background, as I was told details. His body was found in a river, in fishing nets. IN FISHING NETS! At first I was sick, it shook me to the core. But, I was quickly and gently reminded, that what was found in that river, was only flesh. My friend, was with my savior. As I cried the rest of the way home, I was finally revealed the rest of the song. "Weary Widow, Lover. If you're tired and you're scared from the maddness around you, if you cant find the strenght to carry on, When YOU call on Jesus." I continue to listen to this song for his wife. I pray God continues to sustain her, and that she knows she isnt alone. It was not an accident your song played on the radio at the exact time I needed it that first day, or on the day I finally got word about him. It was not an accident that you choose to write/sing about widows in that song. It was/is a blessing from God. One I am very thankful for. I dont know this Sailors wife, but I plan on writing to her and telling her about this song, and including a copy of it for her. Thank you Nicole, for using your God given gifts to ease my pain. I know what happens when I call on Jesus, he moves moutains in the way of lyrics to calm me when I needed him most! In Christ, with gratitude. Christina |

I pray that God will continue to comfort your heart and make a way for you to minister to the Widow as well. This song is a great tool in the time of comfort and need.
May God bless and keep you and your friends family. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |

Hi and may I say your exactly right about that song and how it ministers. Over 5 years ago, when I first heard it, I would weep and still do
everytime. Well the Lord led me to an even greater opportunity, which is that he networked me and some of Nicole's friends to put together an awesome concert last summer. June 10th to be exact in Port St. Lucie, Florida. All of the funds were in order I thought , but I came up short and the Lord led me to my mom for guidance and financial support to complete the deal. As it was Nicole was astounded and somewhat disturbed when she found out. What we all didn't realize is what Gods' plan is. Since that day I have tried to get Nicole to speak with my mom via the phone, and every time it was either too late or my mom wasn't home. As the Lord would have it He knew eactly when my mom needed that call the most. This past February, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. I let Nicole know as well as all my close friends and church family. Well in late April Nicole was back in Florida, Tampa to be exact, and without a hitch, Nicole asked about my mom and told me they were praying for her and without hesitation I called and tracked my mom down and the healing of my moms' lifetime took place. Nicole took my cell and sang Call On Jesus. Not only did I notice a sudden hush and Lord's presence all around the autograph area, but all my relatives that were present while my mom accepted that healing said they never felt a presence like that before. What a God we Have!!! And more importantly are the faithful servants. I recently spent time with my mom in Ohio and my fiancee reassured her that God has done a healing from that day. Thank You Lord for Nicole and the songs you place in her heart. PS CECE sorry wee didn't get to chat while I was there, Go Ohio lol |

What an awesome awesome Testimony. Praise God! Yeah I am soorry too, I just took on a new position with our New Family Life Center and it's in the developing stages so every day is a new challenge working with these kids, and then This week I taught music for our VBS. There was about 95 kids each night and I had it split up into 3 groups back to back and they had to perform on Friday. I was beat every night.
But I am sure we will get the opportunity one day. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |

LOVE THE SONG!!!
''when i call on Jesus..All things are possible!!'' |

Yeah, it's lonely here...I'm not used to being around these types of people..but I'm staying strong.

What types of people? Older people? Younger people? Loud people? Horton-Hears-a-Who type people? *Lucie Manette is too dense to read between Kiersten's lines.* ____________________ Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Hmmm...the type of people here live a lifestyle that is not appropriate to talk about on a Christian message board...it's pretty bad..

That's okay Kiersten, you're a rose in the desert, a tulip in Antartica, an orchid in...well you get the picture.
You'll be amazed someday at the way God used you in such a place to nudge others to reexamine the way they're living and what they believe. And all those who love you are praying for you so you're not alone even though you feel alone. Just think of all those prayers protecting your petals. *Lucie Manette needs to work on her metaphors.* ____________________ Each of us is the result of a thought of God.
