Dear Hannah aka J.F.,

You are adorable. You are, probably, the soul-mate of Jimmy Neutron who has a big "brain" too. (And isn't there an episode where his head gets stuck in something? Or was that Sheen?)

I am sending you a few Tic-Tacs to counter the negative effects of the Funyons you love to eat.

Vote for Pedro,
Lucy

P.S. I am too unhappy to do this survey because I found out last night that "House" will not be broadcast until November because of baseball! Oh well, I guess it's back to reruns of Law and Order on TNT until then...

Hannah,

Can you make a ponytail stick out the side of your head?

Can you say, "For a limited time only...."?

Can you eat and talk and not feel a piece of bread sticking to your upper lip? (in your case it could be a piece of Funyon.)

If so, you can be Deb for the party.

If not, there's always "Tina" the bored llama.

We love that movie too. Kiersten you're right. It's addictive. Every time I see the "Happy Hands Club" doing "The Rose," I almost wet my pants.

Liger love,
Lucy

Cece,

The strange "dealio" here is centered around the movie, "Napoleon Dynamite." It is an exceptionally unique, random and to some of us, hilarious 90 minutes of pretty much nothing important. There's really no plot or point. Naturally, I love it.

H4J,

My niece graduated from college at Rock Hill.

If My Fair Lady makes you cry, and you quoted Audrey Hepburn, how do you feel about Julie Andrews?

I do agree that Napoleon Dynamite is a matter of individual taste. People either love that movie or absolutely hate it.

But since you sort of rhetorically wondered "why" people love it, I'll fill you in.

There is somebody, like every single character in the movie, everywhere you go. And the smaller the community, the more likely you are to notice them. I went to high school with a "Napoleon." Unfortunately, it was a girl. (bless her heart.) My husband who is also a teacher in addition to owning a store, has taught a ton of Napoleons and I've had to sit next to them on buses while chaperoning school events. Just a mile from my house is an egg-yolk drinking, change carrying, cow-shooting farmer. Why we've even got a "Rex Kwon Do" here, one block over from my husband's business. This instructor wears cowboy boots and is an impressive chain-smoker. And anybody with a brain has to wonder how much karate can you demonstrate while smoking a cigarette and wearing cowboy boots, but there he is, big as life, commercial and all.

The point is, we all know people like the ones in the film and if you don't know any right now, you certainly will someday!

I had an American Lit. prof. who -during the 2 weeks we spent on Mark Twain- correctly assert, "There's nothing funnier than the truth." The young writer/director of ND is himself, from Preston, Idaho where the movie was filmed, and most of what he was doing, all the way down to the canned peaches, corndogs and tater tots on the lunchroom trays, was pointing out what was true -hence funny- for him.

Please let's not forget where we are and whose "home" we are visiting. We may not all agree or have the same taste in many things, but we are to show respect and coutesy to one another.

This is Nicole's message board, hence her house. We come here to uplift, encourage and stay in touch with Nicole and her music and whereabouts.

So having said that, let's just do as Jesus would do and love one another and our differences, ok.

Much Love.
