A LETTER TO YOU FROM SATAN

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores.You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact, you didn't even bless your meals, or pray before going to bed last night. You are so unthankful, I like that about you. I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living, Fool, you are mine.

Remember, you and I have been going steady for years. and I still don't love you yet. As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate God. I am only using you to get even with God. He kicked me out of heaven, and I'm going to use you as long as possible to pay him back. You see, Fool, GOD LOVES YOU and HE has great plans in store for you.

But you have yielded your life to me, and I'm going to make your life a living hell. That way, we'll be together twice. This will really hurt God. Thanks to you, I'm really showing Him who's boss in your life with all of the good times we've had. We have been watching dirty movies, cursing people out, stealing, lying, being hypocritical, fornicating, telling dirty jokes, gossiping, being judgmental, back stabbing people, disrespecting adults, and those in leadership positions, no respect for the Church, bad attitudes.

SURELY you don't want to give all this up. Come on, Fool, let's burn together forever. I've got some hot plans for us. This is just a letter of appreciation from me to you. I'd like to say "THANKS" for letting me use you for most of your foolish life. You are so gullible, I laugh at you. When you are tempted to sin, you give in HA HA HA, you make me sick. Sin is beginning to take it's toll on your life. You look 20 years older, and now, I need new blood. So go ahead and teach some children how to sin.

All you have to do is smoke, get drunk or drink while under-aged, cheat, gamble, gossip, fornicate, and live being as selfish as possible.

Do all of this in the presence of children and they will do it too. Kids are like that. Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now. I'll be back in a couple of seconds to tempt you again. If you were smart, you would run somewhere, confess you sins, and live for God with what little bit of life that you have left.

It's not my nature to warn anyone, but to be your age and still sinning, it's becoming a bit ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I still hate you. IT'S JUST THAT YOU'D MAKE A BETTER FOOL FOR CHRIST.

I'm conservative in my views on Satan. Of course some would say I'm liberal in my views on Satan. I suppose it would depend on which camp you're talkin to...

I know this from personal experience: If Jesus could tell someone like Simon Peter who's on another spiritual echelon than the one I'm on, that Satan can sift him like wheat, what could Satan do to me?

And, if you're thinking "theologically," who created Satan? And if God created Satan, has Satan been able to completely erase all traces of divinity upon him? Can darkness completely block out light in these terms? It's just something to think about. But I don't underestimate Satan's power to corrupt and disrupt.

I like the approach of Michael the Archangel as referenced in the Letter of Jude..."The Lord (not I) rebukes you."

In the South, the water moccasin, otherwise known as a "cotton-mouth" is a ferocious reptile. Much more aggressive than a rattlesnake, these snakes won't strike only when you step on them, they'll come after you. In the very lake behind our house right now, a water moccasin tried to get in the boat while I was fishing. I've never rowed so fast in my life and still that snake kept coming.

Satan should be avoided and respected like a water moccasin.

Silly AJ, for all practical purposes of life in the southeastern section of the United States, you can almost always tell a venomous snake by the shape of its head. (triangular.) The Eastern Hognose is a bit of an exception.

A water moccasin has a white section in its mouth, hence it's other name, "cotton-mouth" that can be seen as it opens wide to bite its victim. They live in and around water and they can grow quite large. (not anaconda large.) The ones I've seen were curled up in the lake near the shore that were disturbed by a fishing pole, etc. The one that tried to get in the boat with me got caught on a hook while we were fishing. We immediately cut the line and it followed the boat. My dad was fishing with me and he kept hitting the snake with one oar while I rowed with the other. We were fishing in a little "Captain Jack" type boat so it was kind of scary!

As for other snakes, you don't usually see copperheads, coral snakes, or rattlesnakes unless you're looking for them. Most of the time the snakes you see are garter snakes or king snakes. I'm not scared of snakes either.

I'm only afraid of things that can't possibly hurt me, like frogs.

you'll have to excuse me i was a lil tired when i posted that one. i hadn't gotten much sleep since i didn't get n till late from babysitting. anywho that was a good analogy!!
