I know that I am asking a great deal (but it is not for me). My friend's 24-year-old daughter recently signed her first recording contract, shortly after the release of her second CD.

Like you, she sings real life stories that through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, touch the heart, minister to the spirit and heal the soul.

Believe it or not, she too plays acoustic guitar. Music runs very deep on both sides of her family (vocal and instrumental). She was tickled pink when her dad played the keyboards at last week's 50th birthday celebration for him and one of his first cousins.

I am asking you to take a listen to her music then to take her under your wings and mentor her. It will be different from the way that you take care of your baby girls, particularly those who are biracial -- but equally important and lifechanging.
