Hey meg i will feel you in! Will first i hope you feel better with you sickness. Why were you gone for a week?? Will I did miss you MEG!! Will everone wants to change there names! They think change is good which it is but Iam going to get concused with all these new names. You get what i mean? Anyways everyone has gone on trips so we ask them if they had a Great time on there trips. I think the new names are GREAT but I liked the old ones better. But I told them it is there choice if they wanted to change there names. Some people are still think about what to change there names to and other people are thinking if they should change there names. I did think about it but I choosed NOT TO!!! Big Grin

Hi Meg,

I'm so sorry you've been sick. Have you missed much class? Get well soon!

I meant to post it the other night, but Thursday we ate dinner at Cracker Barrel and I saw the whole angel collection like the one you sent me. I'm going to get another one for our new house. (the one we just closed on last Friday) Anyway, I thought of you while browsing...

I think PBS is doing a 6 hour thing on Masterpiece Theater of Dickens' Bleak House. I love Masterpiece Theater, got hooked on it as a kid. I think it stars Gillian Anderson. (you know, X-Files?)

Plus the MT theme song is very catchy, don't you think? Peter Parker plays that theme (Rondeau) on his trumpet for weddings all the time. There's no telling how many brides have gone up the aisle to it. (it's used more for the recessional.)

Do you know what Peter Parker has me doing tonight? Making out his exam for his college Music Appreciation class which is tomorrow night. 40 multiple choice questions plus 10 "drop the needle" questions. It used to be drop the needle when there were phonographs, but now with cds, it's the "listening component" of these exams.

Multiple choice questions are fun to create. I always slip a few crazy things in to break up the monotony. My all-time favorite professor from undergraduate school used to do that too so I'm afraid his prankster side rubbed off on me. I think it makes the test easier to pass, rids the room of test anxiety and is infinitely more fun. Music Appreciation is, or should be anyway, an easy, enjoyable class. It is afterall, merely an introduction to music.

Here's a sample of one of Joan Wilder's questions:

What type of scale evokes sad, gloomy feelings?

A. A major scale.
B. A minor scale.
C. A chromatic scale.
D. A bathroom scale.

Last semester, Peter Parker actually had a couple of people choose D! (my choice exactly.)

I feel guilty. I didn't finish the test. Of course I have until 6 PM tonight I guess since he's gotta have time to make copies, but we watched Medium and fell completely asleep as soon as the news started.

I woke up during Conan and turned off the lights...

Is it just me or is Conan's hair rather tall on one side?
