In closing, I'll just mention the amazing and beautiful Nicole C. Mullen. Look her up when you can. Her voice is so angelic and her music powerful and moving. Her music is for God, that we just get to enjoy. You must listen to "When I Call on Jesus". This song will move through you. Enjoy! There will be a new Women of Faith next year, in Sacramento. You may want to consider heading up there for it. You won't regret it. And the time away, focused on God will be worth the time and money! Blessings

April 23
What a Weekend! It was an awesome weekend in Spokane, WA where four crazy women (it's weird to say women, because I felt like we were teenagers again) from Duncanville spent 3 days together, growing, crying, laughing and praying together. The Women of Faith conference was spirit filled and inspirational. You could definitely feel the Lord's presence there. The speakers were wonderful and the singers were incredible! I could never get enough Nicole C Mullen. I wish I could attend a conference every month - it's wonderful to feel refreshed. Speaking of that - Girls, my countdown has started counting down again. Looks like we'll have to do this again next year. Unless of course, we are travelling to PA to welcome Lizzie home :-). http://pinkandbluetoo.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!17D8564E76A94369!848.entry I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |

The musical concerts were performed by Nicole C. Mullen and Natalie Grant. I love both of these singers so I was extremely happy. This was the first time I was able to see Nicole C. Mullen perform. Every time she has been scheduled they replace her with someone else. I would love to see an entire concert with her!

WOMEN OF FAITH Well...this past weekend was my fourth annual trip to Women of Faith...I have actually been a total of 6 times, but since 2005, we have not missed a conference. This year's theme was "Infinite Grace." I knew I was going to get something out of the conference with all the craziness life was causing before we even left. Each of us had something to cause us to take note and begin praying specifically for our trip there and the conference itself. Friday night Nicole C. Mullen performed in concert. She did amazing. She sang my FAVORITE song "One Touch (Press)". It was very good. I think my friends are going to work with me to do the drama with the song the next time I sing it. http://deejay672003.blogspot.com/2008/04/women-of-faith.html I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |

Showered with Grace
April 29, 2008 by wofblog AMAZING, INSPIRATIONAL, UPLIFTING, TEARFUL, JOYFUL, INSIGHTFUL, AND WONDERFUL… are just a few words that can be used to describe the Women of Faith conference that I attended this weekend. The women there were full of texture, layers, honesty, purity, and the list goes on. In closing, I’ll just mention the amazing and beautiful Nicole C. Mullen. Look her up when you can. Her voice is so angelic and her music powerful and moving. Her music is for God, that we just get to enjoy. You must listen to “When I Call on Jesus”. This song will move through you. Enjoy! Nicole C. Mullen at Women of Faith
We had a busy weekend. The women of faith conference was good. The best part was the company--some women I knew from school invited me along and it was great to get to know them better. However, let me say that Nicole C. Mullen is an excellent artist with a heart for God that shows up in powerful, practical ways, http://lizsupdate.blogspot.com/2008/04/some-times-i-look-at-this-blog.html I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |

and one more thing: i bought a new music video from itunes store. it's "one touch (press)" by nicole c. mullen. it's my current favorite song, and let me tell you: the $3.39 was worth it! the video is really good! and you can call me crazy, but it gave me a revelation. the concept was used so much before, but this video caught me! sometimes, you just have to wait for the right moment for it to hit you. then, you'll know....

Speakers touched on subjects ranging from depression, abuse and abandonment to challenges in parenting and understanding relationships.
In between those talks, singers delivered polished concert performances while crowds clapped and danced in place. "What is your issue? Is it an issue of shame, or fear, or depression or loneliness?" singer Nicole C. Mullen challenged the audience at the start of a stage routine in which she was menaced by dancers wearing black cloaks with words such as "shame" and "lonely" written across them. She quoted the apostle Paul during her set, and recounted the story of a woman whose life-altering illness was cured by touching the hem of Jesus' robe. Asking single women in the audience to shout, she led them in a song lyric telling a nameless Romeo: "This love I've got, you'll never get it, without a wedding ring." At one point, Mullen brought her biracial daughter on stage for a duet that said: "You are not the color and the color is not you." The crowd, ranging from young singles to seniors, stood repeatedly during the performance, many holding one or both hands in the air in worship. They clapped vigorously to the music's beat and at times waved their arms up and down in stationary dance moves that mirrored the dancers around Mullen. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/051808/met_280147214.shtml This message has been edited.
