Since we've been talking about movies...

Walk the Line is fantastic. I'm sure Nashville is very proud of their own Reese Witherspoon. I didn't even realize she was from Nashville until the Oscars.

And I'll bet Cece, somewhere deep down inside, likes a Johnny Cash song even if she won't admit it.

Come on Cece, admit that you like A Boy Named Sue. Or Walk the Line. Or Jackson. Even my kids like Ring of Fire.

Ok I might like a Johnny Cash song if I heard it. I do like some Country songs. I love Reba Macentire, and Kenny Rodgers and I am sure more. I grew up listening to Rocky Mountain High, among others. Please Mister Please or (beat 17), don't know who sang it, or the correct title, and Rhinestone Cowboy were my favorites.

I loved Reese at the Oscars, she was sooo refreshinly sweet and such an innocence about her. I have not seen the movie, nor a lot of the other's either. I won't be running out to get brokeback mountain no time soon. But I do want to see Crash since apparently it's all the rave, LOL.

I must admit, I gave hardly any thought to Hustle and flow, but maybe I will watch it. I just pray it's not too much for my taste as far as a good movie goes. I hope it's not stereotypical. But's I loved Madea's Family Reunion. I can't wait to have it on DvD, but it's still number one at the box office so that will be a while yet.

Cece, you so left yourself wide open for me to tease you unmercifully about your exposure to country music.

Please Mister Please? As in, (very breathy voice,) "Don't play B-17, it was our song it was his song but it's oooooo-ver."

That's Oliva Newton John, snookums.

Rocky Mountain High is technically, not really a country song but would fall more into the folk/pop category but we'll let that one slide.

I won't even comment on Rhinestone Cowboy. I had truly horrible musical taste growing up (see old record collection that contains the soundtrack to Xanadu and Sonny and Cher Live for additional details) but even I didn't own that on a 45!

A whole new vision is coming to mind. It's Cece, on her rainbow unicorn, hat in hand singing Rhinestone Cowboy.

I'm just kidding. I'm impressed you remembered Please Mister Please. It wasn't one of Olivia's bigger hits.

hahahhahahahahha see I don't know much.

But Now I know you know I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE, Cher fan. Every since 3rd grade when I began watching Sonny and Cher. Awwww I miss Sonny. But I can't even begin to tell you of my fascination with Cher and the tears I shed when a football game went too long and I had to miss some of her show. My Mom teased me something awful, when all she saw was tears streaming down my face until, the show, already 45 mins late came on and it was Cher's Laverne chracter. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww the memories. Makes me wanna pull out an old album, yeah album.

Sawry, I love Cher!

I can definitely deal with Three Dog Night. I have their greatest hits in the collection with Xanadu. The Doobie Brothers, uh, no. I was forced though to listen to early Genesis and Kansas recordings by my older brother. Being from Georgia also meant regularly listening to groups like Atlanta Rhythm Section, The Allman Brothers and the best of the best to combine rock and soul, Mother's Finest.

Mountain mama? Girl you've got it bad! ("and that ain't good.")

I missed the earlier post of Cece's Cher Shrine.

But I'd be imposing some big-time false witness to not admit that I too, was addicted to Sonny and Cher.

(why do you think I have Sonny and Cher Live in my hideous record collection?)

Just Sonny and Cher Live. Cher does a cover of Hey Jude if memory serves.

I don't think it's "playable" after surviving my early years. I'm infamous for being unkind to stuff like records and cds.

It's so humiliating but it's true. If it can be scratched it will be scratched if it's anywhere near me. If it can't be scratched, it will still be scratched if it's near me. I can break what cannot be broken.

Once, many many years ago, I was at the home of a guy I was dating at the time, and I sprinted up the stairs to the bathroom. On my way up my fingertips ever so lightly grazed the banister, which then fell out of the wall and bounced down the stairs into the living room. This guy then told me I could still use his bathroom but asked I not sit on the toilet because he was afraid it might come crashing through his ceiling.

To know me is to love me but I do hear the phrase, WHAT DID YOU DO? an awful lot.
